Footpath Fury

Coleman says that the front page of the Area News in Griffith this morning has the headline 'Footpath fury' and a story about an elderly women tripping on a damaged footpath. Coleman says many councils are struggling to keep up with footpath maintenance. He says Wagga Council has already contacted teh studio asking them for a list of foot[paths that listeners are complaining about. Coleman interviews Harold Scruby, Chairman and CEO of the Pedestrian Council of Australia. Scruby says councils are increasingly turning a blind eye on people parking on footpaths, and says they are also allowing footpaths to be used by bikes.
