Chatterbox Community - Walk Safely to School Day

With more and more Australian children becoming obese or overweight, primary school children, teachers, parents and carers throughout the nation are again being encouraged to take part in Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 6 May. WSTSD aims to encourage you to walk to school with primary school children to develop healthy lifestyle habits at a young age and educate children on safe pedestrian behaviour. Especially important as many young children just aren't aware of the dangers of traffic. Regular walking is also a fantastic way to kick-start kids' brains, preparing them for a day of activity, creativity and learning. So remember, Friday morning, get the walking shoes on and walk your kids to school! For more information visit www.walk.com.au
