Practical exercise in common sense

WALK Safely to School Day tomorrow is a combination of two important factors. It teaches children practical road safety skills, and the health benefits derived from regular exercise.

Both aspects make it worthy of support.

Sponsored by NSW Health, Active Australia, the Motor Accident Authority and the RTA, more than 500 schools have registered to take part.

It is such a good concept, there is a strong case to extend the program to adult workers.

Exercise and some revision of basic road rules, in many instances, would not be wasted.
