Scruby discusses Walk To School Day and the issue of over protected children. Scruby says the only way they can get those children out of the cars and their parents to do something about walking to school is to get parents to walk with children themselves. It really will become a crisis because now 50 per cent of children in urban areas live within a kilometre of their schools and 70 per cent of them are being driven. Over 40 per cent are overweight or obese and the trend line suggests by the year 2020 we will be fatter than the Americans. Scruby hopes that people will leave the car a kilometre away from the school and take that time to do not only the child's exercise but there own exercise.

Interview with Walk Safely to School Day Ambassador, Alyssa-Jane Cook. Cook has two daughters who recently participated in the Walk Safely to School Day. The ambassador role is to bring awareness of health and obesity in children to parents. A large percentage of the children are overweight or obese. Cook was surprised by the high figures on overweight children. Children do not walk to school as much these days. Parents are afraid about car safety, stranger danger, or are running late, which is why they don't walk to school. Presenters praise walking to school and promote the Walk Safely to School Day.
