In a lather


After lodging 30 complaints in two years, the Pedestrian Council of Australia is "claim(ing) its first scalp" after the Advertising Standards Bureau upheld its complaint against Mitsubishi's Gripping Drive TV commercial, finding the gravel-strewn ad depicted "reckless and menacing driving". Now, it's back on air, albeit with revised voice-over and supertext. Round two. Ding, ding . . .


Fiscal crisis


What percentage of drivers were snapped speeding by 10 km/h, or more, by mobile speed cameras in Victoria in June? The answer: 0.8 per cent.
