Walk campaign perfect fit for Craigieburn pupils

STUDENTS at Our Lady’s Primary School put on their walking shoes last week for National Walk Safely to School Day.

The day aimed at promoting regular walking and teaching children about crossing roads safely.

Parents and students at the Craigieburn school were encouraged to walk to school or, if driving, to park further away and walk some of the distance.

School spokeswoman Deborah Clow said the children were taught about the importance of road safety, and safety monitors from the school kept a watchful eye on the walkers.
