Walking the talk

It’s National Walk Safely to School Day on May 18. Parents and carers are encouraged to teach their children the importance of road safety while getting some exercise. All primary school communities are urged to walk, or, if this is not possible, use public transport. Stonnington Mayor John Chandler said it could be a catalyst for long-term change. He said walking to school regularly could decrease child obesity and diabetes.
