Walk Safely to School Day on
Friday May 15. Each year, all
primary school children are
encouraged to walk or take public
transport safely to school with their
parents or a trusted adult. It is a community event seeking
to promote road safety, fitness, public transport use and caring
for the environment.
Regular light exercise, such as walking, is a proven mood-enhancer
and can combat the development of mild depression.
